You need your Insaio number, see , and your mobile phone, your router or access to your phone system.
The quickest way is shown in Forward your phone number under Getting started. Here you find every option in detail: on your mobile, on a FRITZ!Box and on phone systems.
1. Choose the type of forwarding
First decide when your agent should take over:
- Always: Every call goes straight to your agent. Your phone no longer rings.
- When you don't answer: Your phone rings first, then your agent takes over.
- When busy: Your agent takes over while you are on a call.
You can combine them.
2. Set it up on your mobile
- Open Settings › Apps › Phone › Call Forwarding.
- Switch on Call Forwarding.
- Tap Forward To and enter your Insaio number.
This menu always forwards. For “When you don't answer” or “When busy”, use the codes. More in Apple Support.
Open the Phone app › ⋮ › Settings and look for Call forwarding (on Samsung: Supplementary services › Call forwarding). Choose the situation, for example Forward when unanswered, and enter your Insaio number.
The codes work on every mobile phone. Type the code in the Phone app and press call. Instead of “number”, enter your Insaio number, for example +494012345678.
- Always:
*21*number# - When you don't answer:
*61*number# - When you don't answer, after 20 seconds:
**61*number**20#(5 to 30 seconds) - When busy:
*67*number# - All situations at once:
*004*number# - Switch off all forwarding:
##002#
3. Set it up on a landline or phone system
- Open your FRITZ!Box user interface in the browser, usually at fritz.box.
- Go to Telephony › Call Handling › Call Diversion and click New Call Diversion.
- Choose the number whose calls should be diverted and your Insaio number as the destination.
- Choose the type of diversion, for example Delayed for “When you don't answer”, and click OK.
Cloud phone systems, for example from Telekom or NFON, are connected by forwarding. In your provider's customer portal, look for “call forwarding” (Rufumleitung) and enter your Insaio number as the destination. This then only works for inbound calls.
If you use sipgate, you can connect your number directly instead, see .
The menus have different names on every system, but the steps are the same:
- Open your phone system's admin page, usually a page in the browser.
- Look for Call forwarding or Call diversion and create a new one.
- Enter your Insaio number as the destination, choose when calls are forwarded, and save.
Can't find the setting? Your phone system's manual or your provider can help.
4. Test the forwarding
Call your usual number from another phone. If your agent answers, the forwarding is set up. You then find the call under Interact › Interactions.
