The confirmation email is switched on in the event type, see .
1. Set the rules
Open Configure › Account › Event types, then your event type, and go to Adjustments. In the Reschedule & cancel section you set:
- Allow cancelling: on by default. You are notified of every cancellation.
- Require a reason for cancelling: off by default.
- Allow rescheduling: on by default.
- Changes possible until: until when customers may cancel or reschedule. The default is Same as the minimum notice, meaning the event type's minimum notice.
2. What your customer sees
The confirmation email and the calendar file contain the links Cancel appointment and Reschedule appointment. Through them, the customer cancels or picks a new time.
3. What happens on your side
- Rescheduling without confirmation: The appointment is moved right away and your customer gets a new confirmation.
- Rescheduling with confirmation: If Requires confirmation is switched on in the event type, the new time is only a request. It lands under Interact › Results, and you accept or reject it.
- Cancellation: The appointment is cancelled and you are notified.
